Une croisière merveilleuse à l’ombre des platanes du Canal du Midi
J’ai été atteint de francophilie (rien à voir avec l’ancien dictateur espagnol) il y a une trentaine d’années, et je suis passionné depuis par tout ce qui touche à la France. J’aime aussi beaucoup les canaux. Ces deux passions expliquent pourquoi mon épouse Lesley et moi sommes arrivés à Calais en octobre 1988 en laissant derrière nous nos « vies confortables » dans la City et notre mouillage sur le canal Grand Union à Tring. Nous avons passé nos vacances en France et sur les canaux français pendant dix ans au moins avant notre arrivée dans ce pays.
