RIVER, CANAL AND COAST (INSHORE AND OFFSHORE)

Lübeck is situated south-east of Schleswig-Holstein on the Baltic Sea. Also known as the „Queen of the Hanseatic League“ or „Gateway to the North“, Lübeck is part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. Some 17 km east of the urban area – situated directly on the shore of the Baltic Sea – is Lübeck‘s „most beautiful daughter“, the coastal resort of Travemünde. Starting with your chartered Linssen yacht from Lübeck-Travemünde or from the new port of departure on Strelasund, you can combine round trips on the Baltic with neighbouring inland cruising areas.

“Around Holstein”– from Lübeck via Travemünde to the Baltic, below Fehmarn, to Kiel and then across Schleswig-Holstein to the North Sea, the Elbe and Hamburg. Return to Lübeck along the Elbe and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal.

“Around Mecklenburg”  – from Lübeck or Stralsund via the Baltic, Haff, Oder and the various inland cruising areas in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg, returning to the Baltic via the Elbe and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal.

“The Baltic” – you can travel the coasts of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg on board your Linssen motor yacht either from Lübeck or from Strelasund. The islands of Rügen, Hiddensee and Usedom and the neighbouring cruising areas in Poland, Sweden and Denmark are on your doorstep.

Team Mobiliar: Dagmar & Martin Stratmann

ELBE – LÜBECK – BALTIC SEA – KIEL-CANAL – DANISH ISLANDS – RÜGEN – HAFF – BODDEN

It was in 2007 when I started at my own landing in the middle of Lübeck‘s old town with my first Linssen Yacht, the SENTO. A few summers have now passed and SENTO has acquired several bigger sisters. Since 2013, when I added a location near RÜGEN in the Neuhof Marina on Stresalund,  I have been offering a very attractive port of departure for the waters around Rügen and Haff and the coastal waters. The vision of owning yachts and sharing them with others and the manageable size of the business provides a lot of room for my personal commitment. This has made it possible to enjoy several journeys far from our home port in Lübeck, with a change of crew, in foreign countries and ports.

Cruising the Baltic with Linssen yachts

Lübeck businessman and lighting designer Martin Stratmann is living his dreams, along with his wife Dagmar and many friends and guests. This is also a portrait of a wonderful landscape, a journey along the west coast of the Baltic and the neighbouring inland cruising areas. We had always had the Linssen bug and the urge to get on to the water without getting wet. We already had our first small motor boat before we found our house right on the river Trave at the edge of Lübeck’s old town, which had taken three years to renovate and we finally bought in May 1994. Even before we moved into the house, we had acquired a labour-intensive powered sailplane (oak on oak) as well, as we had had enough of water.
